Kazakh Literary Works to Be Translated into Arabic and Published in the UAE

During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects and avenues for enhancing cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries, as well as ways to further strengthen ties between Kazakhstan’s libraries and archives and the UAE National Library and Archives.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates, Rauan Jumabek, held a meeting with the Director General of the UAE National Library and Archives, Abdullah Majeed Al Ali.

During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects and avenues for enhancing cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries, as well as ways to further strengthen ties between Kazakhstan’s libraries and archives and the UAE National Library and Archives.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to translate classics and notable works of Kazakh literature into Arabic and publish them in the UAE.

The UAE National Library and Archives was established in 1968. Its main tasks are the collection, preservation, and study of the national documentary heritage, as well as the promotion of the country’s historical and cultural legacy at the international level.

In 2022, the Embassy of Kazakhstan, together with the UAE National Library and Archives, published the book “The Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates: 30 Years of Diplomatic Relations”.
