Kairat Lama Sharif, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Egypt, noted that Egypt has one of the three largest economies among Arab countries and has a high potential for increasing trade and economic cooperation with Kazakhstan.

The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Arab Republic of Egypt and JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" held a round table in Cairo. Large Egyptian companies that are members of the Business Council for International Cooperation participated. During the event, the participants discussed Kazakhstan and Egypt’s trade and investment opportunities, and a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" and the Egyptian Business Council for International Cooperation.

Kairat Lama Sharif, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Egypt, noted that Egypt has one of the three largest economies among Arab countries and has a high potential for increasing trade and economic cooperation with Kazakhstan. He stressed that many Kazakhstani producers of ready-to-eat food products are interested in entering the Egyptian market, which has a population of more than 105 million.

In his speech, the Ambassador discussed the country’s investment attractiveness, invited Egyptian companies to expand cooperation with Kazakhstani enterprises, and informed about the main directions the Head of State announced in the Address to the People, "The Economic Course of a Fair Kazakhstan."

Kurmangali Amankosov, a foreign representative of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" in the Arab countries, presented Kazakhstan’s investment opportunities and discussed existing state support measures for investment projects and mechanisms for protecting investors’ rights.

In addition, within the event’s framework, a number of bilateral meetings were held with companies such as Raslan Group, Zaher Group, Tawoos Clinic, Daltex Corp., and others, where ways of cooperation in agriculture, MMC, tourism, medicine, and other sectors of the economy were discussed.

Following the event, the parties agreed on a visit of the Egyptian business mission to Kazakhstan in 2024.
